Dart Shope: 2018 Woody Tournament Results

Better late than never ...I guess. Last weekend Was the "Grand Woody" tournament in Kansas City. The "Grand Woody" tournament is a Charity event that benefits "Toys for Tots", held at Eclipse Bar and Grill.

Its called "The Grand Woody" because everyone plays with the same "Widdy Darts".

They are wood darts with turkey glued to them for flights made for American Style Darts. Widdy Dart Board, Company is a family owned and operated company that was established in 1910 in Philadelphia PA by Charles Widmeier Sr..

The entry for every event is 1 Toy (min. $5 value) to enter the tournament or an extra $5 surcharge will be added to your first event, plus $10 for each event. Normally people go well over that amount like Michael Walters who donated 104 toys this years with the help of Terri Stevenson, Terry Barnes Maness, Melody Foster, Jo Ann Anderson, Morgan Dotson, David L. Anderson Jr., Aaron Bell, Tammie Bell, and some others.

Special thanks to Kevin Reilly, Julie Melondendorp, Bill Pittman, and Brian Greenstreet for running the event. In fact Kevin Reilly, Bill Pittman, and Brian Greenstreet have been running this event since it began 25 years ago.

We also got to see "The Corporation" back together. Back when the Kansas City dart league had over 1200 players in the 80's and early 90's, "The Corporation" was the number one team. Back then teams had 6 players.
