I know I've done it before, but for those that don't scroll. Ill have more interesting posts coming soon. Every once in a while, you have to clean up the darts. Leave it to me to invest practice in a hard to find Ribtex flight, I'll make the slight change to the Dimplex. Dimplex are dimpled like a golf ball. Explained here.

I use rosin to keep my hands dry, and that with the oils in my hands, builds up in the grooves. I use a brass brush to clean the grooves and knurling. Then burn the oils out of the tungsten. The burning leaves the darts with a crisp feel, plus it colors the barrels for a while. Tungsten's melting point is around 6000 degrees, so I'm nowhere near that here. They turn red around 1000 to 1200. I've been doing this for years. Never melted one, never distorted one.
